Friend for an immigrant mother

Would you like to make a new Finnish friend and learn Finnish?

Volunteers help immigrant mothers to know Finland better and settle into the new home country. Along with friendship, the volunteer helps the immigrant to learn Finnish and understand the new culture. The immigrant can share her own culture with the volunteer as well!

We bring together immigrant mothers and volunteer Finnish speaking women who can become friends with each other.  We aim to match two women with similar life situations. You can get to know each other over a cup of coffee, take walks, go shopping or whatever you want to do together. Children are welcome to join the activities.

The friends usually meet twice a month for a couple of hours. You can plan what to do together and schedule when to meet which ever way works for you.
